The World Showcase in the Epcot Center features a showcase of all eleven countries from North America, Africa, Europe and Asia. These country pavilions surround the World Showcase Lagoon. This article would feature the countries coming from North America and China.
Mexico – This Spanish speaking nation has an Aztec Temple that is part of the pavilions highlights. The Gran Fiesta tour ride featuring the Three Caballeros takes everyone in a fun filled boat ride. Along the way in the search for Donald, guests discover the wonders and attractions Mexico has to offer. From the people, music, culture and arts, this fun ride is surely a learning experience that you would not forget.
China – This has one of the richest and oldest histories in the world. This pavilion provides replicas of the Temple of Heaven and even has gardens that would provide you with peace and comfort. The not to miss attraction is the Reflections of China, this movie is presented in CircleVision 360 that makes you discover the rich culture of this nation. Known landmarks such as the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China are included in this movie.
United States of America – Of course not to be outdone, the land of the free and the home of the brave would have their own pavilion. The Colonial style architecture greets you as you visit this area. For art enthusiasts there are some paintings that you will surely appreciate. The theatrical show, American Adventure is a must see in this pavilion which shows the rich history of America.
Japan -The land of the rising sun is also part of this extravaganza. As you enter, you will be greeted by the Taiko drummers that entertain you while you’re eating or shopping for authentic Japanese products. From blue roofed pagodas, to koi ponds and a variety of rock gardens, you can really see how it is like to be truly Japanese.
Canada – If you thought Canada was just a cold country north of the United States, then you are definitely wrong. You can view amazing landscapes with creative gardens and a somewhat canyon replica of the Canadian Rockies. The 30 foot waterfall adds more to the magnificent backdrop, and you feel like you are in Vancouver when there are carved totem poles around the area.
