From the four theme parks that the Disneyland Resorts, we move to the two water parks that the Disneyland resorts has to offer. First we take a look at Blizzard Beach where they feature one of the fastest free -falling waterslides. In the second part of this article, here are the other attractions to be found in Blizzard Beach:
Melt Away Bay – This one acre wave pool is like your artificial beach on the theme park. You can sunbathe, swim, float lazily in the rafts, even go with the flow or play with the waves.
Summit Plummet – This is the centrepiece of the water park. One should ride at his own risk as you are about to go through this waterslide with a 12-story drop. One of tallest and fastest free fall- body slide makes you ride down the slopes of Mount Gushmore. At the speed of the maximum of 60 miles per hour, you plunge into a 360 foot long flume and through a darkened tunnel. You can even see your own readout as how fast you did this slide. Make sure you’re above four feet to experience this.
Runoff Rapids – An important thing in this ride is that you have an inner tube as you ride this as you can pick from the three waterslides to go through. The center slide is only for a solo flight inner tube compared to the other two which you can be partners. They all go through crazy twist and turns down the hill and eventually drops off with a plunge into the pool at the bottom.
Snow Stormers – Another 3 style racing waterslide, that includes a toboggan-style mat that should make you lie on your stomach and speed down the mountain, banking through curvy paths with ski-type gates along the way. These slalom style racing slides has a length of 350 feet that goes down Mount Gushmore and of course plunges into the pool. Be able to race with your friends and who can finish the fastest.
Ski Patrol Training Camp – This is an excellent play area for kids where they have their own waterslides and inner-tube slides. The ice-flow walk across the floating iceberg course is fun as well. There is even a zip line where kids can hang on to a T-bar. and zip along the water and drop into a pool.
Slush Gusher- This 90 foot tall fast paced waterslide goes through two rolling hills. If you want to pump yourself up for Summit Plummet, this is the appetizer slide that you can work on before the big one.
