Busch Gardens Williamsburg – Virginia

Busch Gardens Europe opened up in Williamsburg, VA. on May 5, 1975 directly next to the Anheuser-Busch brewery. The theme park went through two prior name changes before settling on Busch Gardens Europe: when it was first opened up it was named Busch Gardens – The Old Country, then in the early 1990’s it was renamed to Busch Gardens – Williamsburg, and in 2006 was changed once again to its present name, Busch Gardens – Europe to reflect the European Style in which the park was designed.
