The Empire State Building has been one of the most talked about buildings in the world for a long time. It is still one of the most important buildings in the world and the tallest in New York State. It was the tallest building in the world for forty years from 1931 when it was completed. The Empire State Building has two observatories on the 86th floor, and at the top on the 102nd floor. The 86th floor observatory is at a height of 1050 ft and the 102nd is at 1250 ft. The Empire State Building is located at the intersection of the Fifth Avenue and the West 34th Street.

A jewel in the New York’s crown, and the most amazing part of the Central Park, is its Central Park Zoo. The zoo is run by the Wildlife Conservation Society. This vacation nothing promises so much excitement and fun especially for the little ones, like a scenic stroll through the Central Park Zoo. The thrills reach a peak when you watch the zookeepers feeding the animals and enjoy shows at the Wildlife Theatre. The Central Park Zoo is open from 10am-5pm daily. On weekends and holidays, the zoo remains open for half an hour more till 5.30 in the evening.

A Visit to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York will give you great insight into the military and maritime forces of the United States and their roll in the Second World War. This museum was founded in 1982 and is located on the Hudson River at Pier 86 at 46th Street on the West Side of Manhattan. It was closed for two years from 2006 for restoration and reopened in November 2008. This museum hosts the Fleet Week events held annually. The museum got its name from the World War II aircraft carrier, USS Intrepid. The exhibits include the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier, the submarine, USS Growler and the supersonic reconnaissance plane, Lockheed A-12.

Tavern on the Green has won the honor of providing the best ambiance to its visitors. The restaurant also received an Award for Excellence for its exquisite wine selections in 2003.

One of the most honoured museums in the United States, the American Museum of Natural History, is located in Manhattan, New York.
