Busch Gardens Europe opened up in Williamsburg, VA. on May 5, 1975 directly next to the Anheuser-Busch brewery. The theme park went through two prior name changes before settling on Busch Gardens Europe: when it was first opened up it was named Busch Gardens – The Old Country, then in the early 1990’s it was renamed to Busch Gardens – Williamsburg, and in 2006 was changed once again to its present name, Busch Gardens – Europe to reflect the European Style in which the park was designed. Busch Gardens Europe is so unique in its look, that it was voted the “World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park” 17 years in a row. The theme park has over 50 different exhilarating rides and attractions, a whole section of attractions and thrill rides dedicated to children, wild life attractions for the whole family including Jack Hanna’s Wild Reserve, ten main stages of entertaining shows, several award winning cuisines to choose from, and many outstanding world-class shops to pick up some souvenirs.
